Engineering Master Class by Rick Miller

Can you learn how to design a complete gear box in 60 minutes? Is one hour enough time to learn how to engineer quieter gears? No.

But in a one-hour lecture, I introduce future engineers and young professionals to concepts needed to successfully work in today’s power train industry.

In my 40-plus-year career, I’ve designed more than 300 original geared assemblies and hold multiple patents working with and serving a variety of industries ― agriculture, mining, and construction equipment; EV; wind energy, and energy exploration to name a few.

I provide the next generation of engineers and professionals early in their career an overview of the processes and procedures involved in successfully designing and specifying a gearbox and geared assemblies, concepts not taught in today’s curriculum.
